We would like to inform our readers that International Magazine for Music
New Sound No.28
is now available on our web site!
Dedicating this issue to the one of the most prominent Serbian composers,
Stevan Stojanović Mokranjac (1856-1914), on the occasion of the 150th
anniversary of his birth, we chose the topic: Choral Production of Southeastern Europe.
Therefore, in this issue of the Magazine, the attention of
the authors is focused on aspects of the traditional and
the contemporary, the individual and the collective, the national and
the multicultural in the context of choral music, choral societies,
and various performance practices.
The standard columns of our Magazine, such as Composer Speaks,
New Works, Festival and Symposia, Reviews… are also included.
In our next issue (No.29, June 2007) you may read interviews with David Fallows,
current President of the International Musicological Society, and Serbian composer Isidora Žebeljan.
This issue also brings different papers dealing with composers Dragutin Čolić (Studies);
Božidar Obradinović, Anja Đorđević, Dejan Despić (New Works); Marko Nikodijević, Tiberiu
Olah (Analyses); as well as books, festival and symposia reviews…

We are currently preparing No. 30 of the magazine issue of International
Magazine for Music New Sound with the topic BALLAD, and would like to
make a call for papers to all interested professionals. Deadline for submission is
1st September 2007.
